Thirteen captains. Fifty-odd islands. One sea, and it isn't big enough for all of you.

Hoist the black flag and race rival pirate captains across a sunlit archipelago. Drop anchor, send your crew ashore, build a fort and raise your colours. Every island you hold pours silver and timber into your hold, and every rival wants it for themselves.

Claim it. Hold it. Defend it.

Silver mines, lumber camps, fishing villages and gun batteries are all up for grabs. Spend your plunder on heavier shot, faster sails and stouter palisades, or build a shipyard that launches sloops to harass your enemies. Hold half the islands for 30 seconds and the sea is yours. If nobody manages that, the captain with the most islands when the clock runs out takes the lot.

Know your enemy

Every rival captain has a style of their own, and they sail the same way every time. Mad Meg Morrow races you to every island. Dread Marlowe Finch never retreats and never mends his hull. Grimsby Gallows never forgets who hurt him. The game won't tell you who's who, so you'll learn their tricks the hard way. Sink a rival and half their silver is yours. They'll do the same to you.

Dolphins ride your bow wave, whales breach in the distance, and your crew and rivals never stop talking. They taunt you, cheer you on and complain about the jellyfish.

Your Captain's Record follows you from voyage to voyage. It tracks 23 achievements, your record against every rival captain (including your nemesis), and a running scoreboard for all 14 captains. A backup code lets you move your record to another device.
